David joined JSC having studied at the universities of Leicester and Nottingham, where he gained a BSc (Hons) in Biological Sciences and an MSc in Environmental Sciences respectively.

During his time at JSC, David has gained experience in a range of aspects of regulatory matters having worked on preparation of summary dossiers, preparation of electronic and paper submissions, literature and information searches, as well as providing general support and assistance to the project managers. A further part of his role has involved keeping up to date with ongoing changes to EU classification and labelling legislation, and feeding back the implications of these to his colleagues. He enjoys the challenges that come from the variety of projects that JSC work on and finding solutions to the issues, which the project managers present to him.

Outside work, David’s passion is for the great outdoors and he can be found most weekends out in the Yorkshire countryside, riding one of his bikes, walking the fells or enjoying a rest in a friendly cafe.
