Lesley Halford
Regulatory specialist (and nature enthusiast)
Keen to expand her regulatory knowledge, Lesley joined JSC in 2008. She enjoys the challenge of an interactive scientific environment and the variety of regulatory work.
After graduating with a BSc (Hons) in biology from the University of York, Lesley worked in a small laboratory, which performed food intolerance testing. From there she accepted a position at a leading global CRO, where she performed first environmental fate and then terrestrial ecotoxicology regulatory testing on a variety of agrochemicals, pharmaceuticals and novel compounds. She enjoyed developing her practical scientific skills and this sparked her interest in the regulatory environment.
Lesley enjoys nature and is interested in nature photography. She likes hiking and nature walks, especially in the nearby Yorkshire Dales. Lesley is a keen gardener and would like to own some chickens one day.
