Fiona Pillar
Metabolism and Residues expert (and Archers addict)
Fiona graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Applied Science, where two chance industrial placements at Hazleton and Schering Agrochemicals have led to a continuing career in Agrochemical R&D.  After graduating, Fiona joined Schering Agrochemicals as a team leader in toxicokinetics.  In 1994, she joined Dow AgroSciences  as a plant metabolism expert, later moving into the crop residue group as Dietary Exposure Assessment Leader.  Latterly her time at DAS was spent in the Regulatory Affairs group, where she continued to use her metabolism and residue expertise but also acted as a product registration specialist on a number of Active Ingredients.

When she’s not working, Fiona spends a lot of time outdoors, either taking her Labrador for long walks or supporting her three sons at their various sporting activities.  She likes to do the ironing listening to the radio and is addicted to the Archers on Radio 4!
