Green Transport initiative

JSC undertook a Green Transport initiative for two weeks in July, with staff making their way to work using a more environmentally friendly mode of transport than their usual - this included walking, cycling, car sharing and the bus.  Timing coincided with the Great Yorkshire Show as travelling by car into Harrogate during this time can be tricky. Unfortunately, the weather put a halt to the Show this year after the first day, but staff continued with their 'green' travel modes and a total of 447 miles were clocked up during the two weeks.

David Hall who cycled his 28 mile return journey every day amassed the most miles - and enjoying the ability to speed past stationary traffic he has continued cycling his route to work!
