New Plant Protection Product Council Regulation

Regulation (EC) no 1107/2009 (dated 21 October 2009) was published on 24 November 2009, will enter in force on 14 December 2009 and will apply from 14 June 2011.

•    New data requirements (still to be finalised)

•    Identification of candidates for substitution

•    Comparative assessment

•    National provisional authorisations no longer allowed

•    Zonal authorisations

•    Mutual recognition

•    Extension of scope to include safeners, synergists and adjuvants

•    New rules on data protection and data sharing
