Jackie Hall
Skilled administrator (and weekend walker)

Jackie joined JSC in 2005 where she wears two hats: the first as office administrator, charged with ensuring the smooth running of the office; the second as administrator for the British Association for Chemical Specialities, providing back office support to members of the BACS Secretariat on behalf of JSC.

Jackie embarked on a secretarial career back in the days of the golf-ball typewriter, initially working as a bilingual secretary for a French food company. She then spent 17 years working at a local multinational, during which time she was a winner of the President’s Circle award - a type of “employee of the year” award.

She left to join an Italian medical devices company, setting up a local office from scratch.  This role relied heavily on Jackie’s local knowledge, her organisational capabilities and her ability to work closely with her counterparts in Paris and Berlin.

Outside of work, Jackie graduated from the Open University in 1993 with an honours degree in Social Sciences.  Much as she enjoys her work, her first love is the great outdoors - most weekends she can be found walking in the Yorkshire dales, sporting an outsize cagoule and a stout pair of boots.
