Ecotoxicology specialist (and outdoor sports enthusiast)

Sian joined the team in 2011 and her experience has added to the Ecotoxicology team.

Having completed a BSc (Hons) in Biology at the University of Bristol and an MSc in Environmental Diagnosis at Imperial College, London, Sian furthered her environmental specialism by undertaking a PhD in terrestrial ecotoxicology with the University of Reading and Syngenta.  After completing her PhD, Sian joined the consultancy world of chemical risk assessment at wca environment and then Dr Knoell Ltd where she specialised in the registration of a wide variety of chemicals under European legislation. Sian now focuses on the agrochemical sector and provides support and advice to clients in the fields of ecotoxicology and risk assessment.

Sian is an outdoor sports enthusiast and is happiest spending her free time kayaking, climbing and hiking. She is always looking for the next opportunity to travel to beautiful parts of the world; recent trips have included climbing in northern Italy and sea kayaking in the Norwegian fjords.
