Damian joined the team in 2010 and his wealth of experience has added to the Toxicology team.

After graduating from Sunderland University with a BSc (Hons) in pharmacology, Damian went on to complete an MSc in toxicology and an MPhil in biochemistry and intensive care medicine at the University of Birmingham.

Damian began his career at Unilever where he was involved with the safety approvals of hair care products. He then moved on to work at two major CROs as a Study Director in genetic toxicology overseeing a variety of in vitro and in vivo study types.  He was also actively involved in validation work for new study types.  His experience was recognised when he was awarded the status of Registered Toxicologist.

Married, with a young daughter and an old cat, in his spare time, he enjoys the outdoors with his family (weather permitting) and doing DIY jobs around the house.  He is a keen history buff and avid supporter of Newcastle United, along with his daughter - the history helps him remember their glory days!
