Method CIPAC MT 199 has now been published in Handbook O. This method is intended to be a standard approach for the determination of quaternary ammonium compounds in concentrate and ready to use disinfectant formulations by potentiometric titration using an ionic surfactant electrode and sodium lauryl sulfate as titrant.
The method is not suitable for products containing large amounts of alcohol and /or hydrochloric acid.
