Carolyn Thomas brings a wealth of agrochemical experience following 24 years at Syngenta and was part of the ECPA team responsible for the development and shaping of industry guidance on comparative assessment.
Catriona Cooke joins following a career at Zeneca Agrochemicals/Syngenta and Covance/Smithers Viscient with over 22 years in the environmental sciences area. Her varied experience includes crop residue, environmental fate and ecotoxicology studies and the provision of risk assessments and regulatory dossiers for a range of industries.
Graeme Last is an Ecotoxicologist and has worked in industry and consultancy prior to joining JSC. Graeme’s experience includes designing testing strategies, performing and defending ecotoxicology risk assessments and writing ecotoxicology sections of the dossier for proprietary and generic active substances and plant protection products
Scott Samuels has worked for over 20 years as a Senior Toxicologist in the Chemicals Regulation Division of the UK Health and Safety Executive working on the evaluation and assessment of mammalian toxicology data for UK and EU pesticide and biocides authorisations. He has experience in evaluating a wide range of toxicological data including acute, sub-acute, carcinogenicity, genotoxicity, reproductive/developmental toxicity, epidemiology and data on modes of action. Scott has also represented the UK on the EFSA expert panels on many occasions.
