Tracy is group lead for the European Agrochemical regulatory affairs team. She began her regulatory career in 1990 at the UK government authority PSD, now CRD, where she was a project manager for product registrations, a team leader for the same, had responsibility for training of staff from several EU Regulatory Authorities, attended the Post Approvals Issues Expert Group, and provided input to several SANCO/SANTE Guidance Documents. During this time she gained extensive experience of ‘how the PPP authorisation system works’ and forged excellent links with Regulators across the EU.
Tracy moved into regulatory consultancy in 2015. She has gained experience supporting clients in the EU on regulatory matters related to plant protection products (Regulation 1107/2009). Tracy has also become more attuned to the needs of clients, working for the industry (2017-2018).
Tracy has a Masters in Insect Pest Management from Southampton University and a degree in Biology from Imperial College. She used her Masters knowledge to great effect when working in her first job – working in the Slough Stored Product Pest Laboratory, looking at juvenile hormone analogues to control populations of cockroaches. She preferred not to bring her work home with her at that time!
In her spare time Tracy likes to potter in her garden, and enjoying the fruits of others labours by visiting gardens across the country.
